All individuals who have for tested positive for COVID-19 to date are in isolation. Town of Dover health officials are following all applicable New Jersey Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention protocols, which require conducting an efficient and comprehensive follow up.   Close contacts of these individuals who reside in Dover are currently quarantined; the Town of Dover Department of Health continually monitors their health status.

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen remind all residents to abide by the Emergency Declarations and Executive Orders of Dover, Morris County, and all Executive and Administrative Orders of the Governor’s Office.  The current Orders are available for review at

The Mayor and Health Department continue to ask you to take the following simple, yet effective precautions to protect yourselves and others from COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If you do not have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your sleeve.
  • Limit close contact with individuals who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
