Funding available for home repairs.
If you are still trying to recover and complete home repairs due to damage from Super Storm Sandy, Habitat may be able to help.
Sometimes existing homeowners need a little help to keep their homes in safe and working condition. Morris Habitat for Humanity offers a ReConstruction program: A Brush with Kindness (ABWK), Critical Home Repair and Storm Repair Corps serving low – income homeowners by performing all components of interior and exterior construction on properties that are owner-occupied and for low cost.
ABWK serves low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. The Home Repair program addresses the interior with small repairs. These programs are a holistic approach to providing affordable housing and assisting communities as well as families.
Groups of volunteers help homeowners with exterior maintenance. This typically includes painting, minor exterior repairs, landscaping, weatherization and exterior cleanup. The home repair program helps with interior repairs.
Morris Habitat will also help homeowners make repairs to houses that received damage from storms and to help with community cleanup efforts.
