THE DOVER RECREATION, ARTS & CULTURAL DEPARTMENT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022 SUMMER PROGRAM POSITION FOR PARK AIDES!

You can submit your completed application by email to lnewkirk@dover.nj.us or inperson at the Recreation Office located in the lower level of Town Hall, 37 N. Sussex Street, Dover.

This contest is the first under the new department name of the Recreation, Arts, and Cultural Affairs.  All can participate, photographers, amateurs, and professionals. 

Categories

Landscape - Urban or Rural of Dover reflecting  what Dover is and represents.

Ecology - Plant and animal wealth of the area, or interaction between community and its natural and ecological environment.  Interaction between people, animals, pets, nature, and city.

Sports - Sporting or recreational activities throughout Dover or connected to Dover.

Free Photo - creative composition of color and texture that identifies Dover's essence, culture, and reality.

Contest starts Monday, November 1st and closes on Thursday March 31, 2022.

to be announced on (TBD).

The winning photos in each category will be displayed at different locations in Dover.  The first three winners of each category will receive a plaque.  All participants will receive an Honorable Mention.  There will be a special award for the best photography. 

All photographs will become part of the Dover Historical Society Archives.  The photographs that best represent the town, will be selected to be installed into the Dover Historical Museum.

Facility Use Application

This application is for anyone seeking a permit to utilize the Town of Dover parks or fields for an event.  Application must be completed in its entirety and submitted with the proper Certificate of Insurance coverage (if applicable), security deposit, and payment, 30 days prior to event date for approval from the Recreation Department and the Administration Office. See application for Fee Schedule.

As always, please contact the Recreation Department with any questions, you may have regarding the rental of our parks and fields.
